Sattahip is an attraction near Pattaya beach, and it is not just an exhibition presenting oddity because there are other 3 activities that also interest tourists, Ripley's 4D Moving Theater, Ripley's Infinity Maze, and Ripley's Haunted Adventure. Additionally, recently Loius Tussaud's waxworks is situated at the same place as Riplay's museum. For this reason, this could be an interesting option for visitors, especially family group, where they can spend several hours on enjoying the activities.

Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum Pattaya


The museum presents the collection of oddities all over the world. There are over 350 weird and very interesting things presented in 10 individual galleries, such as Titanic Ship created from matches, a figure of a four eye man, and so on.
Ripley's 4D Moving Theater
Audiences can experience state of art technology at the movies from surround sound audio, a large screen, approximately 70 millimeters, and the seat featured by high technology, which can move to 8 directions. The location of Ripley's Believe It or Not! is on the second floor of Royal Garden Plaza, which is very near Pattaya beach and walking street. So it would be very easy to go there as there are always many of Song Thaew heading to the Beach Road.

Bottle Art Museum Pattaya is the only museum in the world that presents architecture building shown in different shape and size of bottles. These artworks show traditions, cultures, living circumstances, exquisite landscapes, and many different places. Apart from more than 300 art works in the bottles, there are also different types of hand-made ships presented in the Meseum. At the present, the Bottle Art Museum is located in North Pattaya, opposite to Mini Siam Pattaya.

In 1995, Bottle Art Museum Pattaya is established at Central Pattaya by Mr.Peiter Bij Deleij, a Dutch artist, who was inspired by different kinds of artworks seen all over the world. Everyday he continued working for 15 hours in order to deliver high-quality artworks. However, he has handed the responsibility to take care of Bottle Art Museum to his pupil, named Khun Prapaisri Thaipanich.

When visiting the Bottle Museum, visitors will first have to watch a short presentation provided by the museum staff. The language of the presentation will depend on the language used of visitors because there are several languages available. After that a staff will take them inside in order to see the artworks. Visitors can ask information from the staff in the case they want to. An artwork in a bottle is carefully managed by manually put a material one by one on a plasticine, so every artwork is excellent. The exquisite artworks not only are the bottle ones but also are hand-made ships which are presented in many areas in the museum.

At the present, the Bottle Art Museum has been moved to the Kingston Park, which is the first multiplex learning and entertaining center in Pattaya. The location of it is at Sukhumvit Road North Pattaya, the opposite to Mini Siam. Visitors can get there by a Songthaew or a motocycle taxi.

The charge for the entrance fee is: 200 Baht for an adult, and 100 Baht for a child.

Pattaya Floating Market has been a major attraction in Pattaya that visitors would like to visit. Activities, traditional shows, and a variety of items available there would be a key reason to attract visitors. Bus service has also been available to facilitate transportation difficulty.

Pattaya Floating Market not only presents cultures and traditions from different regions of Thailand but also presents niche products from there, such as wooden sculpture, silverware, textile, paper handcrafts, sailing-boat model, wooden-handmade bags, Thai silk, and so on. Not surprisingly, the visitors usually buy souvenirs or gifts for their friends and their family from this floating Market.

At Pattaya Floating Market, visitors can travel around the market by a boat in order to see view of the market on the boat. Also, visitor can taste Thai traditional food and dessert, can see live shows of Thai cultures and traditions of the main regions of Thailand, and can find different kinds of items in the market.

There is no charge of entrance fee at all (but there are donation box for anyone who would like to support further development).

There are also buses available for visitors to go Pattaya Floating Market. However, there are only 5 times a day (every 2 hours). For taking a bus to the floating market, this could be the cheapest choice for visitors, approximately 20 baht, but visitors might need to check the time table of the beach bus services in order to know what time the bus will arrive at their closest bus stop. In the case that visitors are impatient, they can also go to the Floating Market by metered taxi or Song Thaew, but they need to pay higher.

Pattaya Underwater world is the first tourist attraction in Pattaya that offers visitors to view a plenty of ocean creatures underwater. In this aquarium, there not only is an area that visitors can touch marine animals but also a long tunnel, 105 meters approximately, with acrylic windows. This offers visitors to feel like walking through the ocean depth. Visitors can also see staffs of the Underwater World diving down into the water to feed fish. To Visit Pattaya Underwater World would also be an opportunity to earn both marine animal knowledge and experience.

This Pattaya Underwater World firstly presents a location called Touch Pool Zone. In this area, there are rock pool creations for visitors to interact with marine animals such as turtles, seashores, a variety of fishes, seaweed, color corals, and so on. After walking through this area, visitors will find the transparent acrylic tunnel where it is separated into 3 major areas: Coral Reef Zone, Open Ocean Zone, and Giant of Siam Zone. In the Coral Reef Zone, visitors will see a number of colorful fish in the tropical coral reefs. For the Open Ocean Zone, visitors are able to come face to face with powerful predators from the ocean depth as Black Tip Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Black-blotched Rays, and many more. The Giant of Siam Zone (or shipwrecks Zone) is the sunken ship becoming an excellent home for a large number of aquatic animals.

The feeding time is interesting and exciting because a staff dives in the water to feed fish. While feeding them, there are so great numbers of fish around the staff that it is difficult to see him, and when feeding sharks, the staff also feeds them towards their mouth.

Pattaya Underwater World is open from 9 a.m. to 18 p.m., and it is situated just next to Sukhumvit Road at 200 meters from South Pattaya Tesco lotus. Because of the close to the city, it is very easy to go there by a Song Thaew or a motorbike taxi.

The entrance fee is 450 Baht for an adult and 250 Baht for a kid (but free for any children are less tall than 90 centimeters). 

Khao Kheow Open Zoo

Khao Kheow Open Zoo (Khao Khiao or Khao Khieo Open Zoo) is the first zoo in Thailand. Visitors can enjoy animal life from either the day time or the night time. The number of animals is more than 8,000 from 300 animal types. In the zoo, there are places for seeing specific animals, so visitors can drive their vehicle to such places or can take a service bus provided to look around the zoo. There are also animal shows and information of animal types and their behaviors for educating purpose. The zoo is not in Pattaya, but not too far to visit.

Khao Kheow Open Zoo has been established for 60 years. The Khao Kheow Open Zoo is a public zoo, which the government can use income to develop the country. The zoo has also been developed over times in order to attract visitors more and to compete with other zoos and upcoming zoos in Asia. Its development has always been done underneath 4 main concepts, animal preservation, animal education, animal research, and tourism. As at the present each of the concept well support one another, the zoo can provide useful animal information to the community, especially the area of animal study, and can offer a good place in Thailand for relaxation.

In the zoo, visitors can also closely see non-dangerous animals and touch them. They can also feed the animals, with a little extra fee. There are hardly seen animals in the zoo, such as giraffes, zebras, Hippos, camels, bears, bulls, some breeds of birds, and many more. Additionally, animal shows, the zone of children zoo, activities, and night safari, which is for looking how animals live at night, are also presented in the zoo.

The location of Khao Kheow Open Zoo is however not in Pattaya. It is located at Bang Pra, approximately 40 Kilometers from Pattaya. It would be easier for visitors to book a package tour from their hotel to visit this zoo. Another option is to hire a taxi or Song Thaew to be there. In the case of going by private car, from Pattaya, visitors need to go along highway number 7 until Sriracha area. Then try to look at notice sign for Khao Kheow Open Zoo, which will indicate that, to go to the zoo, it needs to turn right. After that going ahead about 7 kilometers, the zoo is there. 

Pattaya Elephant Village

Pattaya Elephant Village is an attraction in Pattaya that provides information about Thai elephant. It is a popular place for foreign visitors. Also, Pattaya Elephant village also focus on elephant prevention, so this place would not be an issue for nature-loving visitors. Apart from providing the information, the village also offers touring the village by riding on an elephant, where it is normal package and trekking one (more expensive). This village can be seen as an alternative attraction style in Pattaya. Its location is 2 kilometers on the right of Suthawat Temple.

Pattaya Elephant Village was established in 1973 as an alternative habitat of ex-hard-working elephants. This is because these elephants seems to be unable to do hard work in the forest anymore (the reasons can be injuries, illnesses, or condition). The village then brings elephants here for preventing the existence of Thai Elephant in the future.

In the elephant village, visitors will be provided with the purpose of the village establishment, the information of how to take care elephants such as feeding, training, bathing, controlling the elephant to move on a direction, safely catching a wild elephant, and so on. Certainly, the information is provided in English language because main visitors are not Thai. Visitors can also take a photo with the elephants.

Almost all ages of visitors (impossible for a baby) can take a village tour on the elephants because there is a staff on the elephant with them, too. This can ensure that the visitors will be safe. The riding elephant tour is suitable for those who would like to have different experience and like to know how exciting on an elephant. There are four rounds of the tour per day (one hour tour). But those who take a trekking package will be on an elephant for more adventures for 3.5 hours.

Unfortunately, there is no public transport to go to Pattaya Elephant village. Visitors have to hire a song thaew or taxi to go there. But those who have a private car, can go there by going on to Soi Praphanimit (Soi Nuen Plub Wan). Then go straignt on to Suthawat Temple (about 5 kilometers from Sukhumvit Road), and after that, turn right for approximately 2 kilometers the village is there. 

Wihan Sian Pattaya

Wihan Sian is a Chinese-style building that presents Chinese antiquities and arts of Chinese religious beliefs. The main building is a three-storey one, and it is surrounded by a number of pavilion halls. The structure of locations of buildings established is according to good feng shui. Due to the attractive and unique arts offered, there are a number of visitors come to Wihan Sian. The location of Wihan Sian is not in Pattaya city but, near Wat Yansangwararam.

The Chinese name of Wihan Sian is Tah Phoo Ei. Wihan Sian was established in 1988 to celebrate in the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Majesty King Bhumibol. It took 4 years and 6 months to complete Wihan Sien. On 24 December 1992, the king himself comes to officially open this attraction.

In Wihan Sian, there are a lot of interesting things that attract visitors. The noticeable ones of such arts are a verity of shapes of stones sculptured, such as lions, and animals from novel. Apart from stones sculptured, there are also a number of ancient objects such as the statues of Chinese soldiers, ancient horse carriage from 2000 years ago, ancient pottery set, Chinese music instruments, drawing pictures, and the art of Shaolin fighting model.

Visitors will be able to find an area presenting Thai arts. Such Thai arts include the model of Thai ship, the model of house styles of 4 regions of Thailand, wooden sculptures, actor masks, and Thai music instrument. Another thing is that there are Thai and Chinese Buddha images for visitors to respect. Its place also presents image history of Buddha on the wall surround the area.

The location of Wihan Sian is near Wat Yansangwararam, so it is not located in Pattaya city, approximately 20 kilometers from the city. Those who do have a car need to use Sukhumvit road to the way to go to Sattahip, then turn left approximately 1 kilometers before Wat Yansangwararam to Ban Amphur reservoir. Go on the way a little bit, it is very easy to notice Wihan Sian. Visitors who do not have a private vehicle should hire a Song Thaew or a metered taxi to be there.It is too far for a motorcycle taxi.

The entrance fee of Wihan Sian is 50 Baht.
